Overview
Earlsfield takes its name from a Victorian house that once stood on what is now Allfarthing Lane, sold to the London and South Western Railway on condition that the new station would carry its name. The surrounding fields were developed rapidly between 1877 and the 1930s into the streets of Victorian terraces that still define the area.
